Subsidised mortgages aimed at first-timers
08/08/2007
A property developer is offering first-time buyers in Greater Manchester the chance to afford their own home.
Miller Homes has come up with a subsidised fixed-rate mortgage of 1.99 per cent for the first year at developments throughout the north-west.
Among the Greater Manchester property developments are Greenwich Gardens in Leigh and Finley Park in Farnworth, where asking prices start at around £100,000.
And for around £130,000, there are town centre flats and two-bedroom apartments available in Stockport centre and Brookes Park, Monton.
"Getting the right option for a first-time buyer is a combination of the right home and the right deal," said Carolyn Walsh, regional sales manager.
Miller Homes has also announced the creation of a new development in Bolton, known as Zen Buildings.
When finished, it will consist of three blocks of differently-sized two-bedroom apartments, with prices starting at £159,950.
