Salford planner expands
12/11/2008
More of the UK is expected to learn from a redevelopment firm that started in Salford as it announced the opening of its first regional office.
Urban Vision, which has largely been responsible for developments in Salford, has expanded to work with other authorities in the UK.
It advises on projects in the Midlands and so decided to open an office in Solihull town centre to service the area.
Regional manager Simon Wood said: With public sector outsourcing becoming increasingly popular however, there is now an obvious advantage to operating at a more local level, allowing us to better respond to the immediate needs of authorities across the Midlands.
Urban Vision started as a joint venture between Salford city council, Capita Symonds and Morrisons Highways Maintenance, which is now part of the Galliford Try group, in 2005.
Partner Capita Symonds has already opened a network of planning offices across the UK.
