Salford an amazing place to be, says top designer

Jade Jagger, the daughter of the famous Rolling Stones frontman, has told a national newspaper that Salford is the place to be.
Ms Jagger, a member of design company Yoo, which is working on a £200 million apartment development at Salford Quays, said that she likes to work in places "which are amazing places to be".
These include cites such as Costa Rica, New York or Manchester, "where the regeneration in Salford makes it very exciting", she remarked.
The rock star's daughter is responsible for designing the interiors of two of the four ManYoo towers, which have commercial spaces, smartpads and communal rooms.
"We are creating a village environment here and want to expand the relationship between the apartments and the whole building to create a quality of life," she said told the Telegraph.
"It will offer something akin to hotel life, a sense of being cared for. We want it to be obvious to people living there that someone has thought about all the details - space, the light, the vistas."
The first homes at Salford Quays were built in 1989 and residential and commercial development has been ongoing ever since.
Many experts believe that relocation of several BBC departments to the docks will boost the local rental market and drive up house prices in the surrounding areas.
