Purveyor of Boatyard development chosen

The sales agent of a canal side housing development has been chosen.
Bardsley home builder has selected property consultancy Knight Frank, reported Northwest Business Insider.
Houses and apartments start from £249,950 with help on financing advertised on the Boatyard’s website.
According to the Insider, almost half of the properties, which range up to five bedrooms, have been sold.
The development, which centres itself around Bridgewater canal side living, has been at the centre of intense interest as it is an unusual development in Salford.
Although it is marketed as a peaceful green it used to be the hive of activity, full of boat makers, wheelwrights, nail makers, timber yards and warehouses.
Legacies to these buildings of times past still stand, with a monument to one of the area’s largest employers, the Duke of Bridgewater, converted from the base of a factory chimney.
The Boatyard recently received the accolade of Best Development in Manchester at the 2008 Daily Mail UK Property Awards.
