New "milestone" in Salford housing

A new housing development at Kersal Heights in Salford has been described as an "important milestone".
Miller Homes has started work on 230 new "stylish" properties to be built on the former site of Kersal High School.
The development, which has "stunning" views of Salford and Manchester, marks the start of a multi-million pound investment in the area.
Salford City Council leader John Merry said that the commencement of construction "is an important milestone in this exciting development".
"Part of a series of high profile regeneration initiatives across the city, this project confirms the fact that Salford is a great place to live, visit, work and invest," he added.
According to Miller Homes, the Kersal estate will be a "highly desirable" address in the near future.
The development is due to open at the end of this year and will consist of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses.
