Firm appointed to oversee Urmston town property project

A firm has been appointed to oversee a project involving the regeneration of a Greater Manchester town.
Property Tectonics (PT) will supervise the construction of Ask Developments' Urmston town centre regeneration scheme, Crain's Manchester Business reports.
It will work alongside the developer and its contractors to provide full statutory building control services.
Commenting on the project, which will involve the construction of a new retail centre and residential apartments, director of PT building standards David Hodgson said it will have a positive impact on the local area.
The project, which will create jobs in the region, will also see the establishment of a new public library and a car park.
Mr Hodgson said: "This is an important scheme that will bring a new sense of identity to a Manchester suburb."
Founded over 20 years ago, PT aims to ensure that its customers get value from their built assets and that new buildings meet regulations.
