Deposits paid on selected Manchester homes
17/10/2007
A property developer has said it will pay the deposit on selected new homes in Manchester to "free up" cash for first-time buyers.
Gladedale is offering to pay the required five per cent deposit at a number of its developments, including those in south and west Manchester.
For example, Amberley Place in Wythenshawe, which is one of Gladedale's newest Manchester property developments, comprises 48 two-bedroom mews and three-bedroom homes.
Prices start at £132,950 has been described by Gladedale as ideal for first-time buyers.
Joanne Spate, sales director for Gladedale, said: "First-time buyers often forget that a deposit is needed to buy a new home which obviously leaves them feeling deflated if they don't have it.
"We are keen to help first-time buyers get their first foot on the property ladder so further initiatives may be available."
Meanwhile in Old Trafford, Gladedale is building 42 one-bedroom and 108 two-bedroom apartments that are due to open in December.
