BBC managers 'agree to move to Manchester properties'

Half of the BBC managers who have been asked to move to Greater Manchester under its partial relocation to the north-west have agreed, it has been reported.
According to the MediaGuardian.co.uk, insiders at the organisation have revealed that 15 of the 32 controllers and senior managers in the affected departments will move up with the BBC to its new centre in Salford, taking properties in the area.
The news source claimed that these people were the first wave of employees to have been asked to make a decision on whether to make the move.
Lower-level workers will have to decide later this year.
One source stated: "Given the economic circumstances, a lot of people are looking at Salford and thinking that's not a bad deal. The economic situation has definitely helped."
The BBC is set to move around 2,500 workers to the MediaCityUK site, which has been designed as a purpose-built home for creative and digital businesses.
