£14,440 for first-time buyers
18/09/2007
A property developer is offering up to £14,400 to first-time buyers who buy a new home at two developments in west Manchester.
Buyers of homes at the River View development at Tonge Moor in Bolton and the Evergreens estate in the village of Abram, near Wigan will receive up to £600 every month for two years.
Housebuilder George Wimpey said the incentive is intended to help those who are looking to get their feet on the Manchester property ladder but are worried about affordability.
Kath Belshaw, sales executive, said: "The special deal seems like an offer that is too good to be true but it really isn't."
Prices at Evergreens start from £164,950 and the development is made up of three-storey townhouses, three-bedroom semi-detached houses and four-bedroom detached home.
River View comprises two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom townhouses, with prices starting from £113,995.
George Wimpey is also offering to pay five percent of the deposit at the River View estate.
