Refurbishment firm on track for record year
09/12/2008
Fit-out firm Claremont Group Interiors claims to be weathering the crunch well and is on course for turnover of £28 million this year.
Sales of £17 million in the first half of the financial year have helped the company reach its target, which would be up by 33 per cent on the earnings over the last fiscal year.
Claremont has been involved in the refurbishment of lawyers Weightmans' offices in Piccadilly Place this year, Jones Lang LaSalle's offices at Chancery Place and Vindon Scientific at Kingsway Business Park in Rochdale.
Managing director Mike Gardner said there were winners and losers in business, but the company had a strong book order as firms looked ahead for the long term.
"While next year will be really testing everyone's powers of fortune telling, we have already been appointed on a number of projects where occupation is planned for mid to late 2009," he said.
