Multi-million pound home building projects announced

Manchester is set to benefit the most from a nationwide homebuilding scheme in the north-west.
The government announced Greater Manchester would receive £12 million for new homes across the area.
New builds are expected to be a welcome alternative for those seeking mortgages in the inclement financial climate.
Housing minister Margaret Beckett said: "In these difficult economic times we must not lose sight of the long-term need to build more homes."
She added councils with the "most ambitious growth plans" received the most money.
As well as the cash, the public transport scheme planned for Greater Manchester could boost the property market if it goes ahead.
Voting on the new Transport Innovation Fund measures, which include two congestion charges, closed today.
Residents were asked for their say on the developments in a postal vote.
Better transport measures are touted to increase the value of many homes across the area.
