Hilton architects take on new challenge

The designers behind the award-winning Hilton Tower are set to make another alteration to Manchester's skyline.
Ian Simpson Architects is joining forces with West Properties UK and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to create W Manchester.
W Manchester will have 160 bedrooms, 3,000 sq ft of conference space, a 4,000 sq ft ballroom, a restaurant and shopping area.
By the time it opens in 2010, the new hotel will also have a chopper pad to take guests on tours of the city.
Tickets to all the best shows in the city will be available.
Step out of the doors onto Princess Street and you will not be far from evening entertainment.
President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Europe, Africa and the Middle East Roeland Vos said: "W Manchester will offer escape, exclusivity and innovative design in the heart of the city's most sought-after neighbourhood, further expanding our fast-growing global portfolio."
