Castlefield is 'nice, quiet and not too busy'
20/06/2008
Homebuyers who are looking for a great place to live but do not want to compromise on a city centre location should consider purchasing an apartment in Castlefield, it has been claimed.
Known for being a quieter part of central Manchester, Castlefield is at the heart of the city's canal network and is in close proximity to the River Irwell.
Castlefield is also home to Granada TV and Manchester's Museum Of Science and Industry, and is brimming with new bars, pubs and restaurants.
"It's a nice and quaint location in the city centre, but not too busy," Frances Jones, of City Residential, told aboutproperty.co.uk.
The area has a large number of one and two-bed flats, with prices starting at around £120,000. But buyers should not be surprised if the asking price is closer to £200,000.
Earlier this week, property valuation website Zoopla.co.uk said that Manchester's residential property has a total value of £64.2 billion.
